Some of you guys may have had Mystery Science Theater 3000 to influence your sense of humor or Calvin and Hobbes. For me, it was Space Ghost:Coast to Coast. I'm happy to have met him before his untimely passing and it's going to take awhile for this to sink in. You were one of a kind and will be missed. Please check out his work when you have a chance.

I've seen unfunny cartoon pilots come and go. Allen Gregory has got to be one of the worst. I mean, not one single mildly amusing joke in this show.  If you're going to have show that revolves around a 7 year old that has sexual  fantasies about a 60 year old woman and  a relationship where one of the spouses is possibly a rapist/stalker, you'd better bring the funny. Scratch that.

If you had a sense of humor, that probably wouldn't be the premise of your show.  I'm a huge fan of South Park and Wonder Showzen, so obviously i'm not easily offended. South Park, however, has a heart and a point underneath it all and it's not uncommon for Cartman to get comeuppance. Wonder Showzen had occasional moments of brilliance even when some of the animated segments fell flat.

This..I just. Get cancelled, already.

I've been absent from DA again due to seizures, but i'm planning to submit more colored art soon. Also, what the hell is up with all the ads in Toonzone? I can't even upgrade my account to get  rid of ads. It's so junky and stupid.

UPDATE:

I'm also doing a massive gallery cleanup. Either some pics will be repainted and posted here like this

or just deleted. It's amazing how hard it is to look at some things you did just a year or two ago.

Yes, just one click can make your web page look like it was designed by a 13 year old in 1996. But seriously, a huge wave of nostalgia just hit me.

Scopitone: The Original Music Video

Journal Entry: Sat Jan 10, 2009, 11:38 PM
Gather around kids! Time for a random history lesson brought on by boredom.

Most people think the dawn of music videos began on August 1, 1980, which just simply isn't the case. Originating in France in the late 1950's, these video jukeboxes were all the rage around the world during the 1960's and were the closest to the cheezy 80's videos most people recognize today. In fact, I think some of these 60's videos beat out 1980's videos in the weird, "I can't take my eyes off this crap" department.

Funfact: Scopitone sometimes throws excessive amounts of T and A in  videos.

See for yourself and enjoy:

It was in Augusta, GA and open to the public. Everyone was having a great time, including me. Instead of the funeral being sad and mournful, it was a joyous celebration. Just when things couldn't get anymore exciting,
MICHAEL JACKSON shows up. I saw him face to face, in person for the
first time. I have nothing else to say. I am still in complete shock.
